Consider timing. God creates a hunger in you before He brings
into the natural what He has planned for you. You will often
sense a holy dissatisfaction with the way things are as a
prelude to Him bringing about change. Many misinterpret this
God given dissatisfaction and blame it on the people and circumstances
around them. Marriages even break up because people think
"I am just not happy". Don't waste your restlessness.
Seek God for what He is doing in the spirit realm and for
what He is preparing you for.
a. There are two types of timing mentioned in the bible.
They are chronos and kairos.
i. Chronos- refers to a space of time whether long or short;
it is where we get the word chronological, the timing and
existence that we are familiar with.
ii. Kairos- a fixed or definite period, sometimes an opportune
or seasonal time, a season, a time, a period possessed if
certain characteristics.
Chronos marks quantity, kairos marks quality. Broadly speaking
chronos expresses the duration of a period, kairos expresses
it as marked by certain features, thus in Acts 1:7 "
the Father has set within His own authority both the times
(chronos-length of the periods) and the seasons (kairos-epochs
which means a period of time characterized by certain (stiking)
events)".
Of reaping and sowing Gal 6:9 reads "at the proper time
(kairos) we will reap a harvest if we do not give up"
NIV
The Message translates it as "at the right time"
b. Always be aware that God speaks the end of a matte, the
destiny. Then He brings you back to the beginning to start
the journey. Don't become impatient. God will never take you
straight from step 1 to step 10. It is a process. Some prophetic
words are given three, five, ten even twenty five years in
advance. What is important is that you recognize the road
you are on and ask Holy Spirit to help you stay on the right
one. God has promised us that He would show us the best pathway
for our lives.
